Bob Skinstad brings us ‘The Skinny’

Last week I was more than a tad irritated with the fact that I u20 Springbok game wasn’t televised on Supersport, yet the England game was. Things like that leave me wondering if Supersport knows which country we are in? Since then I’ve been trying to find clips of the games our Baby Boks have played so far, as it seems they are cleaning up over there.

While I was searching for clips, I stumbled across these by Bob Skinstad and Rugbyzone, It’s entitled ‘The Skinny’ and is filmed in Bob’s pub, The Toad in the Village, in Noordhoek.

In the second clip, Bob interviews German national rugby captain Bodo Sieber, who also has over 150 caps for UCT 1st XV. They chat about getting rugby 7’s to the Olympics. If you remember a few weeks ago, I posted an article here, where I chatted about that exact petition to get rugby 7’s into the next Olympic Games. The Idea is to sign it, then get two mates to sign up too, and within two weeks they should have over a million signatures. I for one would love to see rugby at the Olympics, I’ve signed up, you should too.

In the third clip, Bob chats to his former team mate and good friend, one of my favourite Springbok players of all time, Robbie Fleck. They chat about Fleck’s new role as WP assistant coach, and the possibilities for the future, as well as the highly successful Cape Town Tens Tournament, and what we can look forward to for next year.

P.S. I was glad to see both Bob and Rob made the right choice in drinking Hansa Marzen Gold…
