Why SA should back the AB’s now

BSR correspondent, The Cuz, is in New Zealand for the 2011 RWC, this is what he has to say:

South Africaâ€™s exit from the RWC has been hard to bear.

After winning every aspect of their quarter final clash against Australia, they can rightly feel aggrieved when looking at the final score.

I am not going to regurgitate the reasons that South Africa lost the game, or how they were done by the ref.

We don’t need that right now.

Under the circumstances, one would think that the victory for the Australians would have been somewhat hollow, and that they should have felt rather lucky, and perhaps a little embarrassed to walk away with the win.

Not so.

In true Aussie style, they have been crowing about how great they are.Â Not a word about how LUCKY they were to have Ref Bryce Lawrence on the whistle.

South Africa, nothing would be worse than seeing the Aussies win the RWC, and I have to say that I can’t see either of the Northern Hemisphere teams beating the two remaining Southern Hemisphere teams.

If the AB’s don’t send the Aussies packing, no-one will.

So, wear black on Sunday, and go the All Blacks !!!!!

Oh …. and Bryce …. pop over for a visit some time …. our customs team have an express lane just for you ….

I was also at the game and what you have writen is very un-South African. All the SA people I met at the ground were gracious in defeat…unlike you. I have since watched a replay and the ref was bad for both sides. See the Cooper “forward” pass that Habana “knocked on” to name 1. The guys next to me told me “they dogged a builit there”.
Stop blaming the ref (you sound like Kiwi’s from 2007) and wonder why Morne didn’t kick a few field goals when he had the opportunity. You guys had all the ball and didn’t do anything with it but barge it up, trying to be the tough guys…it didn’t work. Maybe a few more brains out there on the field and you would have won.
Earlier in the day I had a chat to some of your guys and told them that I was very happy with Smit playing….how right was I…of course that’s the Aussies fault and the refs for picking him.

Look at yourselves before blaming others for your defeat.

Hi Red Menace,

Appreciate your comments, but just to clarify, I am not a South African, but rather an ex-South African who is now a Kiwi, and the boks were done by the ref in that game. Pocock should have been binned for his actions at the ruck.

Anyway, looks like the AB’s figured him out a week later … force him into the tackle and he’s out of the rucks.
